What you buy
- Our products are digital study content that opens in your account as soon as payment completes.
- Products: Starter (Module 1 and the Zang-fu Liver note), a single module (one of Modules 2–5 plus the Liver note), Core 5 (Modules 1–5 and all topic notes) and Full 10 (everything in Core 5 plus Modules 6–10 and the rest of the range).
- What each product includes is listed on its plan page. Some items are released in stages from November 2026 to March 2027 and open in buyers’ accounts on their release day.
- Access to every product lasts one year from the date of payment. If you upgrade to a larger product, a new one-year period starts on the day you upgrade. After access ends your study history stays, but questions and explanations close.
- Starter can be bought once per account.
- To move up to a larger product (for example Starter or a single module to Core 5, or Core 5 to Full 10) you pay that product’s price minus what you have already paid; refunded amounts are not counted. Buying several single modules does not open the content of Core 5.
Fail-refund guarantee (Full 10)
The fail-refund guarantee is only for people who bought Full 10 directly. It does not apply to Starter, single modules, Core 5, or Full 10 reached by upgrading from them. If you meet all of the conditions below, we refund what you paid for Full 10, minus payment processing fees. If you used a discount code, the amount you actually paid is the basis.
- You bought Full 10 directly, not by upgrading another product.
- During your one-year access period you registered for and sat the Pan-Canadian Acupuncturists Examination. Any sitting counts.
- Your combined result across both days was a fail.
- You answered at least 90% of the questions in Modules 1–10 (at least 1,485 of 1,650), as recorded in your account. An answered question is one for which you submitted an answer. When you claim a refund we review your study record, and we may leave out attempts that averaged under 20 seconds per question, repeated the same choice for 70% or more of the answers, or followed an A-B-C-D cycle for 70% or more of the answers.
- You email us your official result notice from your sign-in email address within 30 days of receiving it, and the name on the notice matches the account holder.
The refund is paid in cash and can be claimed once per account. Access ends once the refund is processed. If you do not claim a refund, you keep your access for the rest of your one-year period.
The guarantee does not apply if you did not sit the exam, cheated, shared your account, or filed a chargeback.
Modules 6–10 are released in stages by the end of November 2026. Your progress toward the study condition is shown on your account page under “Fail-refund guarantee”.
Other refunds
Because digital content opens immediately, apart from the Full 10 guarantee we refund only in these cases:
- Within 7 days of purchase, if you have not answered any question in the modules that product includes
- You were charged twice for the same item by mistake
- A problem on our side kept you from using the content and was not fixed within a reasonable time after you contacted us
- TCM·STUDY shuts down before your access ends (refund in proportion to the remaining period)
How to request a refund
- Email [email protected] from the address you sign in with.
- Put “Refund request” in the subject, and include the purchase date and reason. For the fail refund, attach your result notice.
- We reply within 5 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method (card); your card issuer may take 5–10 business days. If the card cannot be refunded (for example it was closed or expired, or too much time has passed for the card network to accept the refund), we send an Interac e-Transfer to your sign-in email address instead.
- If you are refunded by e-Transfer, you may not dispute the same payment with your card issuer (chargeback). Access to the refunded product ends once the refund is processed.
Payment processing fees are kept by our payment processor (Stripe), so they are deducted from the refund.
